Vegan Challah

This tender, pillowy, round Vegan Challah is addictive and easy to make. Anyone can do it! Challah is the first kind of bread I learned how to make in culinary school.

Ingredients for Vegan Challah – 1 1/4 Warm Water – 1 tbsp Active Dry Yeast – 1/3 C Agave – 4 tbsp Vegan Butter – 2 tbsp Olive Oil – 2 tbsp Apple Sauce – 1/2 tsp Sea Salt – 5 C Unbleached All Purpose Flour

How to make it! Step 1-Combine water,  yeast, and agave.

Step 2-Next add flour.

Step 3- Kneed until a dough ball forms.

Step 4- Slice into 4 pieces.

Step 5- Braid in a tic tac toe form. 

Step 6- Transfer loaf and proof to baking sheet. Proof for 10 minutes

Step 7- Bake for 35 minutes. Apply egg wash.
